Problems Installing Officejet 6310 Windows 7 driver

I am trying to install the Windows 7 driver and software for my Officejet 6310. Whenever I attempt to install, the files extract normally, but the installation crashes immediately after. The message I get is a Runtime Error. C++ Visual Runtime Library: The C++ runtime has requested this program to terminate in an unusual way. If the problem persists contact support. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the runtime library, performed a clean boot and attempted reinstall of the driver, tried running as administrator, compatibility mode, and just about everything else I can think of and just cannot get it to install. Any ideas to solve this are greatly appreciated.

Problem Resolved

For anyone with a similar issue, a reinstall of the OS fixed this. The only thing I can gather is that the file system had been corrupted somehow.
