HDD is off unless I require it

I have two hard drives (120GB SSD and 2TB Mass storage HDD)
The OS is on the SSD and when I turn on my computers and enter C: drive (Mass Storage HDD) It lags and I hear the HDD disk start spinning and then the lag stops and I'm able to see what is in the HDD.
While I don't use anything from c drive, the disk isn't spinning, thus the HDD is off...

Is there anything I can do about this?

You are confused, Windows is on C, the ssd, the hard drive has another letter

Set your power plan to high performance, see if that stops the hard drive from going to sleep.

I hate when that happens.

After installing the Samsung Magician software, my plan now looks like this, I just noticed it

Well you said you had 2 drives, and you said windows is on the ssd, you never mentioned 2 Windows 7`s. I am not a mind reader, when you boot to windows it is always C it should never be E.

Then check the power plan and set the hard drive sleep option to never.

Still doesn`t work, replace the hard drive. They have warranties.

Good Luck.
