Touchpad functioning again after it was disabled

I have more trouble w/ the cantankerous contraptions. I had a pro come in and disable the touch pad on my Lenovo Think Pad Edge E545 and now it's mysteriously functional again. Plain English, how do I disable it?

I found an HID-compliant mouse and a PS2 compatible mouse. And in the BIOS, I have no idea what I'm looking for and not sure how to get there.

I really can't work this way. I'm an old fuddy-duddy w/ a hopelessly scattered brain due my tumor. I write and I'm a struggling game designer, Polyhedron Games LLC. I used to be a fairly knowledgeable geek (I built 5 websites) but now I am just a nerd. I'm not real comfortable in Dallas and my function level has gone way down. Most of my work is on my desktop and I can't get online. My right hand is partially crippled it's hard to type w/o nudging this touch pad. These machines are so damned sensitive all the time and I'm pretty clumsy especially trying to move into a 2 bdrm cottage w/ a tiny backyard fm. 3 bdrm houses w/ garages.
.
They take 1/2 my income here and it's really not worth it but I can't move. I'm really trying but I'm real behind the 8 ball.
