Hard drive filling up with nothing

Over the last little while I've noticed my hard drive appears to be filling up with absolutely ****ing nothing, and today I just noticed the worse case of it. I had 317 GB remaining today, then a few hours later after installing ****ing nothing suddenly 17 GB IS GONE. I now have 300 GB remaining. I downloaded 3 programs to make webms, two of which I uninstalled cause they were bad and the one I kept is only 25 MB. SO WHERE THE HELL DID THE 17 GB GO?? I looked through all my program folders and such a saw nothing new, let alone anything new that's 17 GB. I did a virus scan with Avast and nothing popped up. If I go to my C drive and highlight all my files (including hidden files) the total size comes to 525 GB, but when I right click my Local Disk, the total size of my used space is 634 GB (fun fact, since typing this and performing an error checking scan, another 3 GB is gone). What the **** is going on? Where the hell is this invisible 109 GB??

Check how much space is used for System Restore.
There is a problem with Avast setting it to 50%.

If that doesn't help, try WizTree, they have a portable.zip available, no install needed.
Antibody Software - WizTree finds the files and folders using the most disk space on your hard drive

Downloaded WizTree to check some things out and I see some files that are 8 GB and 5 GB called pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys and they're just in the C drive not in any particular folder with a few other files. Are they needed or can they be deleted?
Edit: Nevermind I noticed two large iso files for a game that got duplicated some how and upon deleting those I'm down to 4 GB of invisible stuff so I'm all good now. Thanks for the help.

Hi. I have 2 1.5 TB internal hard drives for a Windows 7, 64 bit Pro system. My second hard drive keeps getting filled up by huge (200-400 GB) files that are apparently generated by System Restore and System Image. I'd like to keep the System Restore functionality, but is there a way to...

Emergency - My Hard Drive is filling up @ 30GB/Hr.
I really need help here. It is getting downright scary. I built this whole computer, and everything was fine. I had Win vista Ultimate 64 with the 32 bit emulator. Then I installed the upgrade to Win-7 over Vista, with no issues, and I was delighted with it, as I was with Vista. All this time,...

Win 7 install on a 40gig drive is filling up, why?
I've got 40 gigs with only Win 7 and some apps installed and it's filling up. Is this normal? I ran tree size to see what the files taking up space are and it's stuff like this: {19FEB028-F207-11DE-94FB-001A6B62D540} What exactly is this kind of file, and is it ok to delete? thanks
