    Keyboard Not Functioning if i press NUM Lock


    Hello, Guys please help me out... thank you!!

    My Keyboard just stop functioning lately.. i used On Screen Keyboard to type, and search for a solution.. I read this article saying "IF ANYONE HAVE THESE TYPE OF KEYBOARD PROBLEM THEN JUST GOTO START->PROGRAM->ACCESSORIES->ACCESSIBILITY->ON SCREEN KEYBOARD AND CLICK ON NUM BUTTON LEFT HAND SIDE OF THAT ON SCREEN KEYBOARD(MEANS TURN OFF THAT NUM LOCK OPTION).
    THIS IS A SIMPLE AND BEST WAY TO SOLVE ALL TYPES OF LAPTOP OR PC." and it worked! But now, everytime i press my Num Lock button, my keyboard stop functioning again, so i do the same process again, i want to used my Num keys but i dont know how..

    Hi have you deleted driver in device manager for the keyboard and restart laptop

    Thanks for your reply Oscer1, yes i have deleted my driver then restarted it... but it still the same, i use the system restore but i guess my anti virus blocking it.

    I try changing the registry of keyboard, tried also the system recovery using safe mode, and tried also using the start-up repair....the initial value of numlock is off, then i can use my keyboard keys exect num keys..but if i turned on the num lock, all my keyboard keys are disabled... so i open again the on screen key board to turn off the numlock then i can use again ,y keyboard keys except num keys... how do i will fix this?

    Please help me fix this... thank you so much!

    Hi Junrie,

    Copy this command on a notepad.

    set WshShell = CreateObject("wScript.Shell")
    WshShell.SendKeys "{NUMLOCK}"

    Then save it on your desktop as NUMLOCK.vbs
    double click on it to turn ON and OFF your Numlock.

    Thanks for your reply Shottas... but my issue on my laptop is that whenever i turned on the NUM Lock key, it disabled all my keyboard keys... but if i turned it off, i can use my keyboard keys...

    Well it could be laptop keyboard is faulty and needs to be replaced. If you hook up an external keyboard does the num lock work and rest of keys
