I have problems with my partitions. My C drive is virtually full due to me selecting the wrong size when i adjusgted them. I have no restore point installed.
How can i increase the size of my c drive?

D is the extended partition, the one bordered in green.

BUT----it looks like you have an empty 19.65 gb partition at the far right.

I don't know why it's empty, but it appears to be.

It is NOT an extended partition. You could delete it since nothing is on it and then simply add that deleted 19.65 GB to C, also using Partition Wizard.

If that's enough more space for you.

If you did that, you could just leave the extended partition alone, without shrinking it.

It tells you what each color means right there at the bottom of your Disk Management shot

I wouldn`t mess with your recovery partition.

You have over 800 GB in the extended partition, just steal some from that.

And when you`re done, I would put the page file back on C

Thanks for the advice. I downloaded the partition software and stole some from the D drive. The other drive seemed to be protected as its samsungs own recovery system. All sorted. Thank you again.

system files

I want to shrink one partition and want to make sure it is empty before either shrinking it or deleting it. How can I tell if the leftover files are needed system files or not?

Post a shot of Disk Management and tell us which partition you want to shrink, if you want it empty first, just format it.
