Pushed table slightly with computer on

I was playing a game on my computer and I accidentally pushed my table very slightly. So I pulled back a bit and pushed a little more to align the table but completely forgot you are not supposed to move the computer while it's on. Will this slight movement hurt the computer even a tiny bit? My computer is on top of the table by the way. Also, is putting the computer on top of the desk safe? Can the desk break down? (This is not a joke, I am just curious and worried.)

To be honest, I think you should construct a concrete cube 1.5m x 1.5m, then fix the computer to it with galvanised industrial bolts. That way, if you ever bump it, you can't do it any harm.

Of course the computer won't get damaged! Where did you come up with that? How are we supposed to know how solid the table is, how it was constructed etc.? You sit in front of it, does it feel solid?

I mean I pushed the table very little, not push the computer itself.

And the table is 4 cm thick and possibly made of particle board but I'm not sure. My pc is about 31 lbs heavy. Also, I have my old computer on my other table. This table is 2 cm thick and the computer is 29 lbs heavy. If it is useful to know, every time I say table I mean desk.

4cm is very thick....sounds fine to me. If the legs are solid and steady, you have nothing to worry about.

Pushing the 'table' isn't going to cause any damage to your PC, I punch my PC all the time to stop the front bezel buzzing due to a loose magnet and I mean really punch it.

Nobody on here is going to be able to tell you whether your computer desk is sturdy enough or not, you'll just have to employ a bit of common sense there.

Yeah it seems pretty sturdy and it doesn't shake if I try to.

Should be fine then. Just give your PC a right hook for good measure to let it know who's boss.

Gav, you didn't hurt your hand did you? If not, you need a better case.
