Motherboard doesn't recognize HDD, boot error.
Hello guys,
I have a PC i use for gaming, recently it wouldn't boot and the error:
Reboot and select proper boot device
or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.
I tried the HDD on another PC and it works (pc won't boot but it tries to repair OS, probably due to different components). We also tried another HDD on it and it didn't work either. It doesn't show up in BIOS boot priority. The DVD that's also connected with SATA shows up, but the HDD doesn't.
PC spec:
CPU Core i5-4460 Quad 3.2GHz LGA 1150 6MB BOX
MB : H81M-S2PH LGA1150 DDR3 1600MHz SATA3 USB3.0
DIMM : 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
HDD : 3.5" 500GB Toshiba SATA3 7200rpm 32MB
VGA: PCX GeForce GTX750Ti 2GB DDR5 2xHDMI/2xDVI/ DX12 w/Boost
DVD RW: +/- 24x Black SATA SH224
ATX : Midi Tower Case Matrix MX-01 w/ 700W PSU Black
We have 4 other PC with exactly the same configuration, and they work flawlessly.
Please advice.
