Something must be off. With SATA II, you should be seeing 200-250MB/s seq.speeds.

After you are finished with setting the partitions, you can go into BIOS and check if there is an option for setting the SATA controller to AHCI or RAID mode? If you are unsure take photographs of the BIOS pages and post here.

Don't change anything in BIOS though!

You can change drive letters from the "Action" menu, and then "all tasks", after you highlight the desired drive.

But first delete D if that's your intent.

Right click the D partition in Windows Disk Management and select "delete volume".

Everything on D will be gone. We are taking your word for it that D has nothing on it.

Does it look fine?

Do I need to re run the trim test?

Thanks.

Your partition seems fine, you don't have to re-run the trimcheck.

For the BIOS part, can you take a photograph of the pages and post here? It is possible that you don't have such an option in BIOS, can't say before seeing.

Thanks again, where would SATA controllers be located in F2 settings?

How does one take pics of BIOS?

Normally, it would be in Integrated Peripherals but your BIOS may be different being laptop and all. Take photo of all pages and post and lets see what we can do.

Yeah, that looks OK; you can change E to D if you want.
