DVD's trays don't eject from time to time.

So just rip your discs, Iron Maiden and BLS all over this box
I'm sticking to my physical stuff and use it as long as i can. I'll never get rid of it unless there's no more readers on this planet for sale...

I'm gonna have to do that sooner or later? perhaps, but it's not the same experience, no booklet, lossy music is obviously inferior than lossless one and all the bonus dvd's that are not for sell unless you buy physical.

At least i'm not fancy of vinyl lol.

BTW last time i checked Windows 8.1 was still sold on DVD so...

In the meantime i need to buy a new DVD burner, that Lite on is too nosiy when reading...

Asus DRW-24F1ST (loud) or Samsung Sh-224db (slow during boot)? Man, I'm damned!

I`m all for supporting your artist, I`m just saying rip it, there`s no loss of quality, in fact it`s better. Then put that baby back in the case.

Why did you bring up Windows 8.1 ? It`s garbage

Because windows 10 is almost out, hence i bet one is gonna get the chance to clean install it using a DVD for example. All my windows, offices and utilities are stored on DVD's too.

Yes dvd/blu-rays will be around for a long while yet.

I don`t see anyone buying Windows 10 when it will be a free upgrade, but you`d have to be nuts to upgrade (downgrade) Windows 7 to 10

Wait, are you saying windows 10 will be only availabe as an upgrade via Windows update only? I don't think so. As soon as the ISO is available i'm gonna burn a DVD in order to perform a clean install.

I never said that, I said if you wanted it free, you would upgrade to it. It will be a free upgrade for 1 year after it`s release.

But then it`s bye bye Windows 7. If you like 7 you`ll hate 10.

What are you waiting for, you can try it right now.

Then i don't get you, why did you write this?:

    nuts to upgrade????

I know i'm not gonna like 10, i love 7 and loved XP and 98 sec edition, but you know time to move on, skipping all the 8 flavours was enough...also those windows 7 updates accumulated so far...its a pain to reinstall windows 7 right now.

Nahh i'm gonna wait for the final release.

Because you sounded like you really wanted to try Windows 10 and I thought maybe you didn`t know you could try the TP, that`s all.

I have the TP on a box, it`s no big deal.

Hence, you`d be nuts to ruin your perfectly good 7 license to upgrade to 10, hope you understand now :)

As far as reinstalling, you should always keep a disk image so you don`t have to do a time consuming reinstall.

    Oh got it.

Yeah i've been waiting for Windows 10 for a couple of years ago now, i totally skipped Windows 8, no start button no deal.

But now with Windows 10 almost here, being free and Windows 7 Mainstream support having ended is time to move on definitely whether i like it or not. I only hope i can find updated drivers for all my hardware.

10 looks just like 8 so.... they are more or less clones, no Aero yuk But after all, it`s just an operating system.

As far as drivers, if a system runs 7 it`ll run 10, the Gateway GT5404 Vista box I put it on runs fine, no driver issues at all, and that is from about 2007ish.
