Windows 7: supported intel motherboards

supported intel motherboards

i wanted to install 7 on my desktop but when i did i found out that windows seven does not support my mo-bo.

i came across a list of boards some where but can't remember where. Anybody know??



i 'm building another pc and want Windows 7 on that one.

What Intel board are you currently running?

What is your source of info that it won't support Windows 7?

I am using a 3 year old Intel board with Windows 7; no issues.

I would think virtually any Intel PC board in production would support Windows 7.

Any of the above should work, assuming they fit your case.
Sorry i wrote wrong, the video driver that came with the board will not work with windows 7, and i can't find one,i will give you the board model later when i come from work.the board is new but a old socket 478,i know i know,i'm building another pc.

Ham:

I think you are out of luck, not because of video or any particular driver.

Desktop Boards - Supported operating systems

You won't see your motherboard under the Windows 7 area.

You WILL see it farther down under the XP and Windows 2000 area.

I would take that to mean you must get a new motherboard.
