    PCI lock boot advanced option?.

Hi I seen that this should be ticked on other forums but just wanted make sure here as this forum seems to no what your doing more and seems more legit. But does PCI lock need to be ticked or un ticked in boot advanced option. I no that leaving number of processors and maximum memory un ticked uses auto but if I chose to use all 8 processors my self and maximum memory could this improve system just incase auto not using them all or working right?.

Main question though is PCI Clock.
    Thanks.

PCI lock or clock? very confusing post.

If that option is what I am thinking is, then do not mess with it unless you want to risk burning your PCI-e devices/corrupt hard disk :)

Default clock is 100Mhz, and almost only increased by experienced overclockers sometimes to ensure stability. Most of the time it is manually set to 100Mhz so it doesn't scale with FSB (Front Side Bus) speed.

I am not a overclock person though, (I will ask help regarding this in due time) so if I am wrong friends will correct.

One link saying it would speed system start given you don't get a BSOD.
