Setting up AHCI for new SSD, completely clueless
I got myself a new Intel 520 SSD today and managed to migrate my Windows perfectly. However the write speed of the SSD is only 180m/b on crystalmark and not about 500m/b like what it is advertised. I saw that by changing to AHCI mode, the write speed will be back to normal. As of current, my SSD is under raid mode. I tried changing it to AHCI and IDE mode but my windows gave me BSOD at the windows orb loading screen.
On my device manager, I only have SATA RAID controller and no IDE ATAPI controller like most device manager screenshot i've seen
Can anyone help me with this issue? I'm really clueless at this AHCI stuff
