    My problem with My PC

    Hello guys,

I have an old spare desktop PC. I'd given it to my brother but when after one week I got back it and turned it on I saw below message!
It turns automatically off after 15 seconds or less!
What is the problem with it? Can someone please help me?

Try clearing CMOS/ loading defaults in BIOS (if you can get in).

Or try setting another SATA mode for your harddisk in BIOS.

I put the tiny plastic into pins no 2 and 3 for clearing. Should I turn the PC on to be cleared?

You have to check your motherboard manual for correct CMOS procedure, but I guess it would be something like that (still make sure that's the correct way). If you lost the paper version, check online at the manufacturer's website.

If you can get in BIOS, I believe loading defaults is the same thing (the jumper is for those who can't get in BIOS)

I don't have the paper version. But for clearing the CMOS, as I said, put that plastic for connecting pins no 2,3 (as it has been written on the mobo next to the jumper) and now the PC is on. But since I did that work for clearing, no hardware seems to be working.

The problem is that I can't enter to the BIOS.
After some while I return the tiny plastic into normal state and restart the PC and wait to the news!
    I appreciate your responses.

Yes put the jumper back in original place. Can you boot now or be able to enter BIOS? Not obvious from your last post.

Now the PC is on but on the contrary to the previous situation, no message comes up. The PC is working but shows nothing!
It's very odd. It seems to be a hardware issue.
I still can't go into BIOS.

Do you have a PC speaker installed? Any beeps?
    Any on-board video card?

Yes, there is some small speaker, like other mobos, on it too. No, no beeps.
I don't know how to recognize is there any on-board video card on the board or not.

Remove power cord for a minute and try to power up. Take some pictures of back panel and post here. Do you hear the fans and hard disk starting? Case lights come up?
