Follow the tests outlined in post #39 and let us know how you get on. Testing one stick at a time should be quicker.

#39 requires memtest86 again? So I just insert one stick at a time in the DIMM slots allow up to 7 passes, and follow up?

Yeah, test one stick in slot #1 then slot #2, then repeat with the second stick. Make a note of which stick/s fail in which slot/s.

Good morning forum.

Just went to see how the test turned out and surprisingly after 7hours 6 passes i got 23 errors... regarding ram stick 1dimm slot 1. So i stop and try the same ram stick in dimm slot 2 now? Is screen shot needed to see the errors?

Nope, usually 1 error is enough to mark that RAM as faulty, I will leave the final judgment to Boozad though.

I inserted the 1st RAM stick in the 2nd DIMM slot, and after I hour I got an error!

so with the 1st ram stick, I got errors inserting them in both DIMM slots.

I now inserted the 2nd Ram stick, to see the results with this one as well... Ill be a bit
bit shattered if this one too is faulty.

The thing which annoys me is I did my PCs upgrade in 2012, and I got a BSOD after 1 week. I called up the guy and told me he has to look into the matter... But i couldnt afford to be without PC due to college obligations. So for 3 years 3 times a day: BSOD!

I finally had enough now, and I made the effort and decision to look into the matter myself.

So Im awaiting to see how the 2nd Ram stick turns out now...

This here is my motherboard as seen in my PC spec section.

ASRock > M3A790GXH/128M

What Ram sticks would you guys consider would be compatible. I do a lot of graphics work, and I surely need the RAM power.

Memory Upgrade advice
Running Windows 7 with 4GB RAM. Just got 2 extra 4GB DIMMS but HP manual says that speed is 1333 MHz if no more than 2 of the 4 slots used but drops to 1066 MHz if with more than 2. Do I go for 8GB at 1333 MHz or 12GB at 1066 MHz? Gut feel is for 12GB but I'm not sure what effect speed drop...
