    Mouse Freeze only After Opening Certain Programs


    I had updated Garmin Express (GPS Software) over a month ago, and when I started it my mouse (Logitech G9x) would freeze. As soon as I logged off using the keyboard, the mouse would be fine so I thought it would be a driver issue. When I logged back on I used the Windows 7 compatibility mode (Windows XP SP3) for Garmin Express and it works fine.

    I have found that there have been a few other software programs that have had this problem. The most recent was Blackberry Link. Once I use the compatibility mode again it is fine.

    I tried some testing. I removed the compatibility mode and I uninstalled the Logitech Gaming Software, tried using the Generic HID-compliant mouse driver. This did not work. Why would I have to use Windows 7 compatibility mode on "new" software? I am using Windows 7 x64. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Same problem here!!! I am using Windows 7 and TTSport mouse. When i started some programs like Nvidia Gforce Experience or Freemake Video Converter, my mouse would freeze. To fix it, need to restart my computer or log-off with keyboard... please some help here

Strange mouse freeze
