Processor ID? Help?

Received from some guy who was supposed to give me three i5 processors. So far only one. Trying to figure out what this one is.

The other side of pins, the metal square cover. It should write in faint text model stepping etc

64 bit processor
This is a 64 bit processor in unit, repeat only a 64 bit , not a 32/64 only a 64 chip. tried to load windowsXp 32 bit operating system, loaded but several functions did not work. tried twice I assume this can't be done ?? correct? Loaded windows 7 64bit works like a charm.

I have a single core Pentium U2700 1.3Ghz in my laptop and Tesco told me it was dual so they have said they will sort it. Will my motherboard take a dual pentium? and is it worth the cost?
