SSD with IDE working Not with AHCI

Hi,

I have hp 8200 sff pc with 128g ssd. I just install custome wim file on this pc. But when i start it it goes to the blue screen error. But when i change the bios setting from ahci to ide. it works.
Why it is not working with the ahci?

Hi kaushal22, welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

You need to change your Windows settings to allow it to operate in AHCI mode. Follow the directions in this website.

After looking in the manual for my HP computer It says I should be able to set my sata interface to either AHCI, RAID, or IDE mode. The issue is in the bios I can only select RAID or IDE. The computer in question is in my system specs. Aso it is using an Intel ICH8 south bridge.
