First off, one drive has disappeared that had two partitions, (B & E),

What is on B and E partitions.

Can you see two drives in your bios?

Check all connection to the hard drive.

Make sure you reboot and see if things have changed.
    1. Yeah, it's 1 hard drive split into two partitions (B & E)

    2. Where do I check?

    3. I checked the SATA and power cables and they all seemed fine

    4. Rebooted and changed drive B: to K:, and still seem to have the problem

I just went out and bought a new SATA cable and am going to replace my existing one, I'll see if that changes anything
EDIT: Changing the cable did nothing
EDIT 2: I did a disk test with crystal disk info and got a "caution" result, which could suggest that the disk itself is dying? Does anyone know the average lifespan of these disks? (Had mine for about 3 years)

Thank you guys for your continued help!

You can get a brand new hard drive and it be bad in a very short time.
You could also have hard drives last for many years.
As far as I know their is no set time for life span.
Some just last longer than others.

I would recommend testing your Drive with SeaTools for Windows. SeaTools for Windows | Seagate
User Guide: http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/s...dows.en-US.pdf ( Do read the user guide )

Run both Short Test and Long Test. Long Test will take a few hours to complete. Long Test will terminate if it encounters a bad sector. In that case you should consider running Seatools for DOS as recommended in the user Guide (SeaToolsDOS223ALL.ISO) with Repair option selected.
