    Hard Drive suddenly slow

Started copying at 138MB/s and now wont copy ANY file anymore more then 2MB/s.
Im analysing defragmentation software now, and while my 2 partitions and 1tb external drives were done in mere seconds, my problematic slow 2,5tb drive is taking 5 minutes already now to analyse.

Best part is that the analyse is on half way and says not a SINGLE block is fragmented.

    What can be done?

I would start by running chkdsk and seeing whether it reports any errors.
    Here is a guide:
    Disk Check

On a big drive like yours, this could take quite a while.

Millions of people use Windows Check Disk without problems.

Here is a tutorial by Brink from the forms Tutorial Section.
Seldom do you have to leave the forum to get a tutorial.

You might get some info from a third party app for reading the S.M.A.R.T data from your disk.
If it has been reporting errors, it could point to a damaged disk.

I've heard good reports about HD Tune.
Have a look at the "Health" tab and "Error scan" tab.
I tried the free version just now and my 500gb disk took about 2 mins to do a quick scan, so I would expect yours to take approx 10 mins if it's in good health.

Nothing is wrong with the PC. Transferring through USB is always going to be slower.
