Problem with webcam on Windows 7

    Hey there

I have the CZ-10 Ultra 15" laptop from ibuypower.com, and recently upgraded to Windows 7. I haven't noticed any problems until just now. It appears that my built-in webcam is not functioning anymore.

I get a message at startup asking if I want to restart to fix device functionality issues or something along those lines. But, doing so does not seem to solve the problem. I also get a message about "Smart Watchdog" not functioning.

Is there a fix for this?

(This may be really simple. I guess I just need to know how to find out the model of the webcam, so that I can download the proper drivers?)

According to www.ibuypower.com, your model has an original manufacturer's model of KHLB2.

If you follow the link, howver, that model isn't shown. The one whose name is closets in appearance is this (KHLBX):

For Win7, it recommends using the built-in drivers.

If you have any unidentified devices in Device Manager, all that I can think of is uninstalling them and letting Windows re-detect them.

Uninstalling and redetecting did the trick, actually. I feel silly now, haha

But thank you so much! Problem solved!
