XMP Profile?

If your memory doesn't support XMP profile would it still show up in bios so you can select it?.

Thanks.

Hi,
I would imagine it would be and set on automatic
The only way to know for sure is to look and confirm.

I just looked at mine and default is set to disabled for xmp

If it doesn't support XMP, then no, I wouldn't expect it to show XMP in BIOS. However, your memory might actually support it if it's showing as an option in BIOS.

Then again, my memory supports XMP, but it doesn't show that in BIOS...

I guess it depends on the motherboard.

Yep I've never used it but mine does show 2 profiles
I assume all it does is change the timings
The default is disabled because the ram is using it's default tested and advertised timings which are good enough for me
Anything else can be increased using easy tweak oc'ing feature on my x99 which raises everything in a safe manner instead of me screwing up everything

ASUS also has AI Suite 3 that has 4-5 different profiles for easy oc'ing although bios need to be at default to start with otherwise errors can happen

Hi,
I believe all you need to do is enter your product and go to downloads and utilities,

I don't know if suite 3 would be compatible but if it is I would think it would be shown after entering the mobo version.
