Computer no longer has USB input, mouse/keyboard, suspect virus

I have a windows 7 computer, here is the system info.
I7 quadcore processors on an MS-7582 MB
Standard hdd and a backup.
1000 watt ps.
MSi 660 Nividia graphics cards.

I have two of these they are almost identical.
For no apparent reason the one I'm having trouble with just started shutting down the PNP inputs connected to the USB ports.

I could hear the "disconnect" sound. First I thought I had overloaded the PS because the keyboard and mouse quit, but that doesn't seem to be the case. All of the receptacles on the Power Supply are working.

I can get the computer to start, and go the windows start screen but with no input device I can't do anything.

Can't safe boot, can't boot into bios, I've tried the install disks and it won't boot from there and a recovery disk didn't work either.

Cleared the CMOS, pulled the battery.

Nothing helps.

Installed a 3.0 USB card which will give me power to my phone charger but nothing else.

Tried an old PS keyboard with a USB adapter that didn't work.
Bought an old keyboard with the PS plug. That didn't work.

Pretty wierd

I know this is a PIA for anyone trying to help. So I'm going to thank anyone in advance that takes the time to help.

I can get a new hard drive it that might help.

I can LAN together the two computers if that might help.

I can make whatever kind of start disk from the other computer. I have all the disks and keys.

Its still to good of a computer to give up on, so any help would really be appreciated

Your mobo is the big bang fusion one under that number correct? Can you use the keyboard being USB or PS/2 in there respective ports in the bios itself?

Yes. Its the "big bang fusion". That is the one. Not sure what you are asking me though about the
"ports in the bios"?

None of the USB ports front or back or the pcie 3.0 will work for any usb device.

The 3.0 will work on my phone charger, so its getting power. But none of the other ports will work on the phone charger.

Neither will the PS/2 for the keyboard or the mouse

Pulling the battery alone does not always work (depends on how long I guess). Your motherboard manual should describe the proper way of doing it. If you can't find it, leave the battery off for the night for example to make sure. Also unplug the power too.

Wouldn't you get date time warning if BIOS was cleared successfully?

@IceWalker:

When you first boot up, try to enter the BIOS by whatever method is normal for your motherboard (pressing the 'del' key, F1 or F2, or whatever). See if you can use the keyboard to do things in BIOS.

The reason for this is that if you can't do things in BIOS with the keyboard, then there is a high probability that something (probably the Southbridge chip) on your motherboard has failed and is preventing the USB or the PS/2 ports from working. In this case, you would have to replace the motherboard.

If you are able to move around and do things in BIOS with the keyboard, then this problem would be Windows related, but the fact that you can't get power out of the USB ports leads me to believe that this is a hardware issue.

I've monitored the keyboards and HIDs that are connected during start up. There is nothing that will interact with the computer at any time.

Hmmmm..... I'll look into that. So far it alwasy restarts as if there are no issues. I'll pull the battery tonight and plug it to see what happens.
