PCMCIA FireFire Cards Error Code 12

I am having trouble getting my computer to recognize PCMCIA FireWire cards. I am getting error code 12, unable to allocate resources when I plug in the card. I have tried cards from several manufacturers and they all do the same thing. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 32-Bit on a Miltope MSD-V2-915 laptop computer. The chipset used for the PCMCIA interface is a TI PCI-4520.

Just curious.
Where did you find one of these? Did it come with Enterprise installed?

Everything I find says it has a fire wire interface built in already. Maybe the pcmcia does not support it or it needs a different driver. But, it is a gov mil spec device and originally for military, aviation and tactical ops use. Good luck finding much more about it.

Hi all I've read in some threads about people installing W7 on older laptops. I'm just wondering if W7 still supports PCMCIA cards - modern laptops don't have these anymore but these were standard in older laptops (often had 2 of these). I've got an old Sony GRT VAIO laptop (?) - huge and...
