Two mice bad in a month
Last month I ditched a Logitech mouse because the right button was randomly rapid double-clicking when pressed, no doubt from the button itself going bad. I ordered a new in pack HP 3-button mouse, basic cheap one, as a replacement. Now about 1 month after using it the left button does the same thing, it started yesterday on occasion and now does it way too much so much so it was making basic PC use impossible. I've ordered a better quality HP 5-button mouse and have swapped out the mouse from my XP computer for the time being(I can live without that PC for a few days). This one is working, at the very least both mice seemed to be faulty because of hardware and not software since swapping them fixed the issue.
I'm just wondering, could the PC itself be causing the buttons to go bad? Maybe feedback from the USB port damaging the mouse somehow? I'd wager I just got a faulty replacement but you never know, if it's some odd problem, as unlikely as it could be, causing this I'd like to know.
