Can PC Line PCL-3000 be installed on a PC with 64-bit Windows 7 Pro.?

When attempting to install this Scanner, using the Installation disc which came with it, a message stating that it isn't compatible with 64-bit Windows 7 appeared on screen. Is there any way around this?

It makes thing confusing.

Finding Drivers for PC Line Scanner model PCL-3000

You can buy new scanner from $30.00 and up. A cheap scanner made for Windows/64 would be wiser and safer in my opinion.
I found this online.
I don't know if it works or if it safe.
