Any luck yet. Coming in late but I've had good luck with EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition, which is free for home users. As with ALL partition utilities, things can go wrong so make sure you backup any important data first. This would be one of the worst times for a power outage, so make sure no bad weather is about, or better yet, use a good UPS with AVR.

I doubt it.

You can't merge/expand a Primary partition with an Extended.

Partition Magic is not compatible with NT6 partitioning rules. Avoid it.

Acronis Disk Director is not comaptible with windows 7. (You might get away with using the boot disc). Avoid it.

Easeus Partition Manager Free version is OK - but it only works on 32 bit systems.

By far the best FREE app. is Partition Wizard - works on 32 and 64 bit , and has a boot disc:

Free Download Partition Wizard

By far the best Paid app. is Paragon Partition Manager :

Paragon Partition Manager - hard disk partitioning software, resize, merge & split partitions

Hope it helps
