What is the capacity of your WD external drive?

Is it a new drive or an old drive?

Did you try the external drive on some other working PC? If you hadn't done it do it and post the result.

(We may use either Partition Wizard or TestDisk and try to set it right but then I need the above information to give proper instructions. Older larger than 2TB external drives are formatted as MBR drives. Newer larger than 2TB external drives are formatted as GPT drives. Therefore capacity and when you bought the drive is essential info needed before we troubleshoot.)
