    Adding New 3T HD

Trying to make this new drive just one active partition so that I can use it for basic storage under Windows 7. I do not have any software other than computer manager. Pic shows where I am. Disc 0 is the culprit. It will eventually slide into my Media Player once it is formatted.

My brain needs a kick start.

    Thanks; Al.

The drive must be formatted using GPT partitioning, not MBR, in order to support partitions larger than 2TB.

I suggest you download and install Partition Wizard Free to do all of your partitioning.

Use it to delete your current partition, so that the entire drive is once again unallocated. Then use it to create your new 3TB partition, and PW will automatically understand it needs to be GPT.

    You'll be home free.
