Disk Management Help for Hard Drive Used for Storage

Previously, I had installed Windows 7 on a new SSD and also installed a new 1TB hard drive for file storage, photos, and programs. The SSD crashed and I had to get another one. I just installed Windows on it and then added my hard drive, which still has files on it when I ran the first SSD.

The hard drive shows in BIOS but not in My Computer. I went to Disk Management and it was listed as Foreign. I read that I should choose the option, Import Foreign Disk, which I did. I kept the same drive letter it had the first time around, and which showed this time, W. It is now listed as Disk 1, Dynamic Online, & Healthy. Now what do I need to do to continue to use it as I did previously, while keeping my data? I don't want to lose my files and photos, but I can always download the software again if I lose the programs.

Does it show up in the Windows Explorer? (It should.)

If so, you are done. (You may need to assign a drive letter to it.)

I am copying files from the hard drive to an external drive I borrowed. I see that I have to change the disk to Basic which will cause it to lose data.

It should not lose data, But it is always recommended to backup the data first.

I have the data and now am wondering if I have to do anything to make sure the Libraries still go to the hard drive and not the SSD, as I had it originally set up this way before the SSD crashed.
