Need Help Please with exFAT Drive

I purchase a 500gb exFAT Drive on eBay. I did not think to format to NTFS and I copy family videos to it and then deleted those videos from my PC. All I see is the folders that the videos are in but when I click on the folder it is empty. It should that there is data on the drive but it is only showing empty folders which should have videos inside. I formatted another the correct way and it works find but I'm fearful that my data is lost although it appears there still. I also try copying the folders back on PC but the folders are empty when I do. Any help is appreciated.

Use Recuva to see whether the videos can be undeleted on your PC.

If all you did was delete the pictures from the PC, they should still be in your Recycle Bin. Give it a look.

Somehow it did not help. It found a ton of old files, mainly small ones. Thanks for the help

    Try PhotoRec as well.

Did you look in your Recycle Bin as suggested above?
