tried different sata cable, and different power connector and still doesn't work.
Contact the seller and apply for an RMA if you still got it under warranty!

Have you plugged the faulty SSD's SATA cable into a different Motherboard port? It could be the MB Port that is bad.

it is brand new. I don't know what diskpart is. tell me how to access disk management, and I'll see if it comes up.
    Sorry late reply
See this mate Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command

Disregard all else except points 3 & 4 to see what it looks like

So > Start > type "cmd" (no quotes) > right click on the small blue box that will appear at the top of the Start menu > Run as admin > then type in the black and white box "diskpart" (upper or lower case) > DISKPART will appear > type "select disk" (no quotes) and it should show you all the drives you have in the machine.

Pic is of the machine I am on right now disk 0 is my C: drive disk 2 is my backup external.

If the drive doesn`t show up any pc then it`s toast, contact the maker to see if it can be replaced or chuck it in the trash.

There`s no magic formula to make it work, either it does or it doesn`t.

Then you have every right to return it.

Wasn`t it properly packaged in a box ?

I would just do a refund (RMA) saying it doesn`t work, and not even mention the postman.

Yep after all this looks pretty certain it is done for the only other thing i can think of is use a Ubuntu boot and see if it gets picked up with that but even if it was it is probably a bad drive that got past the testing they do on the drives as they go through the production line.
