EDID and relsolution problems, can't get 1920x1200

I have SyncMaster 2443nw monitor connected through VGA to motherboard ASUS B85M-G with i3 4330 processor (Intel HD Graphics 4600). I have two VGA-VGA cables and the problems are:
1) Connected through the cable #1 - monitor is defined correctly but the picture is very fuzzy, everything "doubles".
Example: http://i.imgur.com/LbYZcYz.jpg
2) Connected through the cable #2 - monitor is undefined, Windows can't get EDID information so i can't set optimal 1920x1200 resolution, 1920x1080 available (Defines as "non generic monitor").
I bought a new VGA-VGA cable, but the problem is the same as with the cable #2 - monitor does not defined by system.

BTW, it was working fine for some time with the cable #2. I had to reboot the system, and screen resolution changed to 1920x1200. I don't know how or why it was working, but now it doesn't work anymore.

I have tried many things, read a lot of forums, but couldn't any find solution.

LCD Native Resolution, EDID and 59Hz issues
I'm on the trail of what might turn out to be quite a boon for those folks with resolution and refresh rate issues. Seems that Windows caches a copy of the monitor EDID since querying it can be very time consuming at startup each time. There appears to be no "protection" on that stored binary value...
