    removable disk (E:) access denied

This has been an issue since I purchased this computer.. I am trying to send files to a removable USB and everything is working properly you also hear the chimes that the USB is on. But I keep getting with a pop up window saying location not available E:/ is not accessible.

Hi & welcome to the Forum.

Is this a USB thumb drive or a USB hard drive?.

If it's a thumb drive it may be corrupted. Have you got another one you can test with.

It is not my USB thumb drive because I plug it in a win 7 desktop and everything worked. So I think something was not installed on my hard drive. It detects my flash drive and that is it.

My Acer does likewise, until I give it time to cycle through its "searching for/installing driver[s] for this device." i don't know how, but I'm wondering if you have to "make" your computer search for/install needed driver[s].

newfiehair. Open Control Panel & select Device Manager. Then click on the he little arrows alongside System Devices & Universal Serial Bus controllers & see if there are any little yellow flash signs, if so double click on that device & click on the Driver tab that shows when it opens. This will show some options, so try selecting Update Driver & follow directions that will follow. If that fails select Uninstall. Once that is complete, shut down the computer & then restart it after a short wait & it should load the a new USB driver.

Ranger 4, I have done all that and every USB driver is up-to-date. When I used my husband's desktop and installed my flash drive he had autoplay window popup .I checked my autoplay from control panel and it is checked marked to open for all auto play media/devices.
