USB Desktop Fan is making my Microsoft Wired Mouse Lag

The desktop USB fan I am using when turned on has started to cause the mouse cursor to lag. I would like to know what the reason is behind this.

Should I just get a new mouse?

I suspect that the USB fan may be overloading the USB port. I would connect it to a powered USB hub.

You might also try connecting it to another USB port.

It was not having this problem with a previous mouse, I have tried other ports and the same thing happens.

I found out the culprit, I had the plug my USB fan into the USB port on the back of the computer!

WiN 7 is making my mouse sick?
Hi all. The mouse is very hesitant 90% of time, hard to highlite stuff, not moving across screen obediently as it should etc. Something is wrong. I have swapped the mouses from PC to PC. It's to do with WIN7 - not the mouse itself. On the old XP I'd whip out a Reg. tool like PC Tune Up or...

I have a Dell XPS 14z which is about 11 months old. I have Windows 7. I am having trouble with left-clicking. I first noticed the problem while working in AutoCAD. I suddenly stopped being able to use my left-click button at all. I hit ctrl+S to save so that I could reboot, hoping the button...

5m USB extension with wired gaming mouse. Will it cause problems?
I've just put 4*USB extensions around the side of my room (concealed within cable magic) so I can use a wired mouse & keyboard at my desk rather than wireless. Will I notice any difference in gaming i.e. Lag in FPS games? The cables are not active repeaters. Thanks.

Problem with USB wired mouse
Sometimes when connecting an optical USB mouse in Win 7 Utimate it does not work, although the laser comes on. Could this be a hardware issue? If yes, is it the laptop, or the mouse?
