transfering files error 0x80071ac3

I'm trying to backup my files onto an external hard drive but I get this error message saying the files are dirty and to run chkdsk. I've run chkdsk and it found no errors. I've run fsutil dirty query c: and it says the volume is NOT dirty. And I still can't transfer the files due to the error message. They open and run just fine though.

If it helps I sometimes run into the blue screen of death IRQL not less than or equal to. The only thing I've installed recently were windows updates, so I don't know what is causing that either. It hasn't happened in the last two weeks though.

Thank you for helping.

Edit: Solved by removing hard drive and mounting it to another computer. I guess there was bit rot in OS.
