Hello and welcome trinity mate for starters I would be running these
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 < in safe mode

and if these pan out ok then run these

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
    Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium
    AdwCleaner Download
delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If one is running Kaspersky security it may rant about ADW - just ignore it or disable Kaspersky while the ADW is being used)

I got a call from a guy having problems with his mouse. He tried another but with the same issues. So I instructed him to delete the drivers from device manager and restart the system - it cleared out the problem. So just go to device manager and uninstall any keyboard drivers and restart system. Worth a shot.

Does this mean you ran SFC and it found errors that were not fixed ?
If you do have errors, did you run SFC up to 3 times with a reboot after each run ?

As David has asked and I nearly always do the chkdsk with my machines too especially if the SFC doesn't come up with a fix or issue to be fixed and I would also do those malware scans too they don't take long and would eliminate anything coming from that direction.
