Why is HD&DVD showing up safely remove hardware?

Why is HD&DVD showing up safely remove hardware?
Both are SATA and bios was setup as Native and AHCI
I dont want either showing up but only external devices....I'm sure there is a simple tweak but just not sure why they are showing up in the first place

I don't know how to modify that.

It's normal for SATA drives to appear as removable when you are using AHCI drivers. (Even the hard drive with the OS shows up as removable.)

I believe that the drives could really be hot swapped, although that's not convenient for drives that aren't mounted in caddies.

Have a tablet PC running Seven and its internal SATA drive shows up as removable, even though (without taking the case apart), it's not.

    Change settings to SATA
Numerous posts concerning AHCI being unsupported.

Sorry to necropost, but this thread is rather high in Google's ranking when you search for this issue, so I decided to sign up to give a link to the solution to this problem.
