PC "Busy" all the time. Won't let me connect camera!

    Hi,

I really need to download a ton of photos today, and my PC is running so slow it won't let me connect the camera at all. (The camera and cable are not faulty. I upload pics every day. This has happened before but I was able to connect it eventually).

I've closed all apps and I looked in Task Manager and disabled everything that I don't need.

When my browser isn't open, Windows Explorer is the top user (I use Explorer to connect my camera), and Nvidea GForce Experience Backend is the next top user. I'm certain Nvidea is the culprit in makig my PC too "busy" to let me connect the camera.

But when I disable Nvidea, it just comes straight back!

Even when I restart my PC it comes back! How do I get rid of the damn thing?

Also Nvideo Settings and Nvidea something else keeps popping into the party as well!

    I need my pics urgently!

Why is Nvidea taking over my PC? And why can't I choose when to let it update, or whatever the hell it is doing?!

    Thanks a lot

Try starting your computer in Safe mode and see if you can get it to work. In safe mode, the Nvidia stuff should not load. If that works, you at least have a work around as you are in a hurry to get your photos.

    Hi cflusflwfl,

I managed to disable Nvidia by going to services and changing it to Manual instead of Automatic. So I didn't need to use Safemode in the end.

    Thanks anyway.
