Keyboard disconnect, hanging on shut down , black screen flicker, etc

    Hi all

    Wandering if someone can help

Ok - recently did a fresh UEFI install of Win 7

All was working ok, except I noticed that my monitor - Dell S2716DG randomly flashes black - happens completely randomly - I checked I had the latest NVidia drivers for the titan x, and I also checked by rocking the tower if maybe a connection was loose - but didn't show any signs of the problem when I moved the tower.??

The second thing is my USB keyboard randomly wont connect - i.e when I get in to Win its as if the Keyboard is unplugged - I try plugging in to another USB port - still no luck. Then I try another port but also try resetting the computer, but the computer just hangs continuously - I have to physically hit the reset button. After doing that the pc restarts and if im lucky the keyboard has connected.
I have another keyboard and it does exact same thing.

I have a funny feeling its something to do with the Chipset drivers but is there anyone that can help me out? I tried going to Asus and getting the Chipset driver from them, but when I went to install it said I had a newer version, and did I want to install anyway>? I clicked yes but it just did the constant loop/install thing again.
Everything is set to auto in 'Device installation settings' too?

The computer wont install any hardware/drovers for any USB ports - it continuously just searches.

Edit - the computer won't shut down at all now. I have to physically switch it off at plug. I also tried installing a different graphics driver (earlier driver) and it just never installs just loops over and I have to shut it of by mains to get it to turn off.
Even in safe mode it won't shut down !!

    cheers

Their has been over 200 looked at your thread. That usually means that no one has a answer to your problem.
Their are many things that can cause such a problem. I will give some suggestion that may or may not help. I must be very careful or I will get spanked.

    1. Some bios have something called fast boot or quick boot. That can cause a problem because sometimes a system will boot so quick all the drivers don't get loded properly. I use no fast/quick boot of any kind.

    2. Some of your problems can be caused by lack of USB 3.0 drivers.
These drivers must be installed separately. They will not install like other drivers when installing Windows 7. They should be on your motherboard CD.
Some keyboards and mouse work poorly when plugged into USB ports.

    3. Any external device plugged into the computer like drives, hubs, printers, ect. can cause some problems. It's a process of elimination by unplugging them.

    4. Checking msconfig Startup and Non Microsoft Services for extra little things and unchecking them can also help diag such a problem.
Using Clean Start sometimes will help to find a problem. Any third party program can also be a party to your problem.
This tutorial by Brink can be helpful.

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

    5. Security programs can also cause some problems. You don't have any listed in your (System Specs) so I can really give any guidance on that subject.

    6. A proper install of Windows 7 from a quality media and activated properly is a must.

These are just some things that come to mind.
**Please keep in mind that you may have more than one problem**

If I have misunderstood your request for help I'm sorry. If so I will slap my keyboard and make it shut up. My keyboard at times get a mind of it's own.
