Tilde, F1 and F2 buttons not working.

Hi again. It's me. I seem to be having a problem after someone from school came and randomly pressed up a bunch of keys. :/ Now my tilde, f1 and f2 buttons have stopped working. Pretty sure it's not a hardware problem since it happened after he pressed a bunch of random keys.

    Jake mate run these first
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs

Now just making sure has the machine been split on, dropped, sat on, left in the sun, or anything like that?? It could be that the person hitting those keys may have damaged them too because the actual mechanisms are not that robust - they usually just two small rubberised pads under the operating button that conduct when depressed and therefore sometime easily damaged as I said by rough handling.

These days most keypads are generally sealed units whereas in the old days one could replace individual buttons and contacts so if it is down to damage then you might be up for a replacement.
