ZTE AC8710 reliance broadband modem incompatible
Dear all,
I am currently using a ZTE AC8710 Reliance Broadband modem to connect to internet. after upgrading to windows 7 home premium, dialer started creating trouble as it is incompatible with windows 7 operating system. I have tried to set the compatibility to Vista Sp2 also. but no use. can any one help me out.

Same here. After upgrading to Windows 7, ZTE Reliance modem simply freezes my laptop after connecting for couple of minutes. I am forced to hardboot each time. I just read somewhere problem might be AVG antivirus if you have it installed. Try removing it and reconnecting. Am about to try myself.

me too, I have windows 7 64bit, the zte modem freezes it. Ive done some research and it looks like its a problem with more than just this usb modem. Im going to try uninstalling AVG as well, maybe thats the problem????

I uninstalled AVG, so far so good. it's been a while now with no freeze. mabe that was it after all. what do you think?

AVG is definitely the problem
Yes, same here. SInce I have uninstalled AVG and installed Avast, have faced no more freezes. AVG is definitely the issue here.
