Brand new extreme SanDisk Micro SD Card 32GB turned to RAW format

I have just bought a Micro SD Card for my raspberry pi, when i put the SD card into my laptop it says i need to format it. Windows is not let me access the SD so i thought formatting it would solve the problem, i don't care about the information/files on the SD so it tried to format it. Windows gave me a error so i tried using the SD card formatter form Home - SD Association but it also gave me an error "memory card is write-protected" i have looked for a solution but i cannot find one.

unfortunately, i don't know what information i should provide about the SD Card

If you are using SD card adapter to insert into the computer SD slot.
At the side, there is a small switch, just either move (flick) up &or down.
This is to lock the SD from doing anything, as similar to CD disc.

Since it is a new Card, return it to the vendor and get a replacement. The card is most probably defective.
