| | change USB port numbers Hello, I would appreciate suggestions for how to change USB port numbers both in Windows 7 Starter and in Windows 7 Home Premium. Windows XP makes this operation easy, but I have found no comparable method in Windows 7 Starter. Is the problem that I am using Starter? Can it be done in Home Premium? Thanks, Richard |

| | change USB port numbers Hi Ken J++, Reason for wanting to do this is that I'm trying to run a product manufactured by our company. The computer I'm using is the ASUS Eee 1008HA, which has only 2 USB ports. When I try to run our product on it, it searches for port numbers up to 20 but cannot find any. I had the same problem on a similar computer (Eee 901) running XP but solved it easily by changing port numbers. Thanks for the interest, Richard |
