Here's a couple more things you can check on the problem PC.

Run a System File Check on the problem PC to make sure there are no issues that can't be fixed.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Check if there is a newer BIOS version available for the motherboard.

DNYBOY, many people gave their suggestions here to you to try. Put them in practice. All them are good and valid.
This is what I would do:
- If you have any SATA drive bigger than 60G you can remove your SSD and install win 7 64 SP1 as UEFI to see what's the result. It wont take more than half an hour.
- You can follow Jumanji instructions to have your disks working under Legacy. He is the disk guru and I'm sure he can do it.

@DNYBOY
What i am provide here is up to you, as on whether it can work or not.
If anyone can dismiss my method, please do so.

Do you have any drivers CD for the HDD Docking unit.
I have a similar type with 2TB limit, and it comes with CD with at least 10 folders for various systems.

As for using external HDD docking unit, you may have accidentally make changes without the drivers.
Hence when you re-allocate the HDD into as internal HDD, it may also give problem.
But putting into the external HDD docking unit, it is fine.

Edit: Do focus more on this workaround.

There could have a work-around by deleting the HDD partition, as at new or never install.
This workaround is to void & null your doing using the external docking unit, which in turn removed the Admin status.
Then put the HDD internal, one at a time and without other HDD connected, and give a try if it works or not.

Eric.

Hey all, sorry about the late reply here it's been extremely difficult for me to access this machine in recent weeks.

Anyway finally through testing lots on things I have found the solution and I'm afraid I was led astray... and in turn may have incorrectly post some information about this problem. I was told this issue existed from the moment this PC was build but I have found this not to be true. As soon as I removed the Fibre Optics card and it's software the problem went with it !
The software "metaSAN" has options for what to do with non-san volumes that Ive tried playing with but no luck yet, I will persist and let you know what I find but this is defiantly my issue as I can replicate it as soon as I re-install this card and it's software...

In my post #15

"And during this troubleshooting process disconnect from the internet so that there is no network influence and also disconnect all other external drives including the media drives physically plugging those out ( safely remove) and also disabling your fibre channel adapter/program."

Glad to note that you finally found the culprit.

Another piece of information "metaSAN has been superseded by Tiger Store Tiger Store ? Tiger Technology "
