Megahertz07, no I have never used Mac or Linux.
Thank you Ranger4 for the confirmation that oit is a virus, s far what I have done is copy all my files to the root directory (out of .trashes") then I have deleted the .trashes folder. Does this mean that I have deleted the virus?

I don't know if that will work or not. Usually viruses need to be actually removed as they can remain & are probably transferred with copying files elsewhere.

It might be good idea to run your Kaspersky Internet Security again in a deep scan mode & have your SSD connected as well & also do a deep scan of that while you are at it.

If that fails then it might be worth following the website directions that I mentioned before, although it does state in that website that those directions were posted for the user that requested the help & it might not work for other users.
