Hi i asked him whether clean install or imaging/cloning is better and he said clean install.

OK. Someone else will have to explain why a clean install would have a recovery partition. Maybe it's normal for Windows 10. I have no idea.

Have you never installed W10 Ignatz ? I`m flabergasted

I just did a clean install of 10 (to unallocated space) on my Samsung 850 Evo, it made 3 partitions, a Recovery, an EFI and C

Because if it actually fit, (meaning if the laptop actually could accommodate 2 drives) as you said earlier, then you could be using it for storage.

But if you`re happy with how it is, then that`s good too. It would just add heat to the laptop.

Don't know why you'd be "flabergasted" that I've never installed Win 10.

I've never installed Win ME or Win 8 or Win 2000 or a Mac OS either. Unfortunately, I may some day install Win 10, but I'm trying to put that off as long as possible.

The 'Recovery' Partition is normal. I believe it usually houses the recovery environment.

Hi,
Indeed the anniversary update will create 450mb recovery because you have a short period of time you can roll out of it back to the previous build
Odd it is in front and not on the end of the ssd.

Possibly AddRam used older media
Should have used newer media with the newest build on it
