Anyone With A LG Monitor W2053TQ (or similar)

Hello,

Am hoping some of you folks have this monitor, or the problem is generic enough to
figure out

Have bought a new 20" LG W2053TQ Monitor. Using with a new PC running Windows7. Incredible picture; just love it.

But-

Something must be set up wrong on my end, I think.

If I press or finger scan any of the buttons while the PC is on, or off, the whole row of red LED's lights up. That's all that happens.
Never displays an OSD screen, or any of the other option screens.
Any ideas why this might be ?

b. The red light under the power button is Always on; for the PC being on or off.
It used to be Always flashing, but I unplugged and plugged back in the power cord, and now it's on solidly. Any thoughts ? Shouldn't it be off when the PC is off ? If it's some kind of sleep mode, how do I make it go totally off ? Pressing the Power Button just lights the whole row of red LED's

c. I understand that Windows7 defaults to VGA. I have it hooked up with a DVI cable. Where in Windows7 can I check if it is set up for "Digital" ? I looked in the Monitor section of the Control Panel, but don't see anything for this option.

d. Think it might be a Driver issue ? Should I be using the default MS Driver, or
one which came on a disk with the Monitor ? LG says on their site that the use of their Driver is optional. Not really sure which one is being used (I downloaded and "believe" I installed theirs, though I'm not really sure if it's being used) ?

Frankly, I can't help but feel it's something in Windows 7 that I don't have selected, or configured, correctly. But I really don't know. Of course it can be a defective monitor, but the picture sure does look great, and it seems to "talk" to the PC fine.

Just the problem of all the red LED's lighting up when you touch any of them, and my inability to get any of the on-screen menus to appear, like the OSD, etc.

Much thanks,
Bob
