well theyre all pretty similar in terms of how they perform........

i can tell you which one NOT to buy, i bought one of these in need of a good few USB connections..

7 Port USB 2.0 480Mps Hi-Speed HUB Laptop Notebook NEW on eBay (end time 27-Nov-09 20:29:35 GMT)

it states ''USB 2.0'' all over it, but it does not come with an additional power adapter...this means whenever you plug in more than 2 devices, the USB block defaults all connections to ''USB 1.0''

so, if your buying a 4 port hub you should be ok, if buying a hub with more connections make sure it comes with an adaptor..

Not the case...don't go out and buy any USB hub as win7 has problems with many. I have a Mikomi 7 port hub which constantly crashes Win7 during boot-up. I am now in the process of trying to fix this issue or purchase one which is compatible.

I'm using just a simple inexpensive powered high speed 4 port belkin USB F5304 hub. Plugged it in and away I go. Never had any problems with it. Fabe

Skunksmashed not just me who has probs with USB hubs and Win 7.
I've narrowed it down to hub having mouse or keyboard through it. Anything else works fine...printer, mobile phone, Infrared remote dongle, bluetooth adapter etc. etc.
Mouse and keyboard work fine directly to USB port in PC but never via HUB...this is what hangs startup, I can't understand why!

I can vouch for two types of Belkin hubs, both with a lifetime warranty.

I have used a four-port hub with a power supply with OS: XP, Vista and now Windows 7, successfully. Model number: F5U231. I have also used a seven-port hub with a power supply with OS: XP, Vista and now Windows 7. Model number: F5U237.

I have had two of the four-port hubs fail after five+ years of use and all I have had to do was call Belkin, get an RMA number, ship it back along with the power supply and they have sent me a new, in-package, hub with absolutely no problem.

I am sold on their hubs with out a doubt!
