    Mass storage controller issue

I have just done a clean install of Win7on my sony lappy. Everything looks ok apart from an exclamation mark on a mass storage controller listed under 'other devices'.

Its not my hard drive as that is listed as ok under disc drives, so any ideas? Downloaded several drivers from the sony site, bt none seem to have any effect.

    Thanks

    Hey Andy

You mobo probably has RAID support. you can find out be going into device manager to the unknown device>right click>go to proerties>details>pull down> hardware IDS. take the hardware ID and google it. It will tell you who the mfr is and then you can get the driver.

    Hope this helps

With a laptop I have found that the mass storage controller is usualy the card reader. If you'd fillin your system specs ( user CP top of page) it would nake it easier to find a driver for you. Thanks Fabe
